Types of Liners

  • Golden Flue cast-in-place Flue Liners - This method involves inserting inflatable forms into the chimney and then pumping a UL-Listed mixer in and around the form. After the material has "set" or cured, the form is deflated and removed, leaving a new seamless/insulated flue. This method not only lines the flue, but also strengthens and insulates. This method of lining is ideal for older, weak chimneys. Golden Flue liners are warranted for a period of 25 years.

  • Stainless Steel Liners - We use UL-listed flexible liners that can usually be installed in one piece. This type of liner is used to line chimneys that are basically in stable condition since they do not add any structural integrity to the chimney. Most of these liners carry a lifetime warranty.

  • Aluminum Flue Liners - This liner is a UL-listed, one-piece, flexible liner, similar to the stainless liners. However, they can only be installed for use with certain types of gas appliances. They usually carry a 10-year warranty.

  • Terra cotta/Tile Flue Liners - These are usually installed in new construction. We do not recommend use of these liners as they do not carry any type of warranty. Also, they come in 24" lengths, meaning there is a joint every 2 feet, which could be a potential problem area.
