Chimney Sweeping

The National Fire Protection Agency recommends that ALL chimneys/flues be inspected, and cleaned if necessary, at LEAST once a year.

Our Certified Chimney Technicians perform a chimney cleaning to remove creosote deposits, soot build-up and acids from the interior walls of chimneys and vents.

Creosote is the by-product from burning wood. It accumulates on the interior walls of the flue and should be removed on a regular basis. Creosote is highly flammable and can ignite into a chimney fire, resulting in damage to your chimney and possibly, your home!

Soot and acids accumulate from the use of fuels such as oil, gas and coal, adhering to the interior walls of the chimney/flue. The soot and acids will build up to a point where they will fall off the walls and block the flue. If not removed on an annual basis, the accumulation will cause deterioration of the inner walls of the chimney and fumes and gases (carbon monoxide) to back-up and filter into your home.

A CHIMNEY THAT HAS NOT BEEN SERVICED RECENTLY COULD BE A TIME BOMB!
